As an indication, according to statistics from the Israeli Innovation Authority (AII), the high-tech sector in Israel represents 15% of GDP, employs 10% of the national workforce, generates 25% of tax revenues and constitutes 43% of the country’s exports, according to AII data. It is not for nothing that Israel is nicknamed the “Start-up Nation” thanks mainly to “Silicon Wadi”, Israel’s version of the American “Sillicon Valley”, where SNC contributed to the development of high-tech industries. The brainchild of innovation in the Jewish state, this platform is organized as a non-profit NGO. Its main mission is to connect business leaders, governments and NGOs around the world around innovative projects with high added value.

It is quite naturally with SNC that the CGEM announces, since the “Silicon Wadi”, the holding, next May in Casablanca of the “Business & Innovation Forum Morocco-Israel”. “The Forum will bring together key players from the largest Moroccan companies, government and research with leading Israeli start-ups, policymakers and other leaders in the field”, underlines the Moroccan employers’ confederation. It all starts with a “strong will” between Moroccans and Israelis, to build “an economic partnership Morocco-Israel that creates added value and ‘jobs’.
